Your domain name is your "internet address".  Once you have determined that your desired domain is available it needs to be registered with an accredited registrar.  We can help you with domain name registration as part of our website development process.  In case you decide to manage this important task yourself keep the following in mind:

Domain name selection
Your domain name should be as short as possible and readily associated with your business or organization. Avoid the use of hypens or dashes, and if at all possible, try to use the extension ".com".  If other extensions such as ".net", and".org" are available, you may choose to register them also.  If you have multiple names they can all be "pointed" to one domain name server.

Management of Your Domain Name(s)
Domain names are registered for a minimum of one year.Most registrars will notify you when your anniversary date for renewal is coming up, but you should also keep a note such that your name doesn't unintentionally lapse. Names which are not renewed are almost always automatically picked up by someone else who will be willing to sell it back to you - for a greater price!
