Currently, PayPal offers two options for businesses to use, Website Payments Standard and Website Payments Pro.

If you have a PayPal account and we are setting up a full shopping cart on your site, Website Payments Standard will likely be all that you will need. However, if we are setting up separate items for sale via a PayPal button or building a custom payment integration for you, then you must decide whether you want the Website Payments Standard version, which will redirect site visitors to PayPal to checkout, or if you want the Website Payments Pro version and keep the transaction on your site. While many site owners prefer to keep all of the transaction on their site there are many reasons (cost being one of them!) to direct your customers to the PayPal portal.
