Web Design Pricing
FACTORS THAT AFFECT WEB DEVELOPMENT PRICING
Is Your Site Basic or Complex?
With web design pricing, the biggest factor affecting the price of a website is time. The more complex a site is, the more time that is required to design and develop it. It is relatively easy to find a low cost provider to build a website but our focus is on building a website that will be effective for your business. A typical entry level price range for a basic business website that we develop is $3,000 to $5,000.
When we create a site for you – you own it. You own the website and all of the code, if you ever want a copy of it we will provide it to you upon request. We go out of our way to use open source, well-supported tools that are non-proprietary so you never feel obligated to have to use our services once the site has been built.
Your Selection of a Service Provider?
You have a broad range of choices when selecting an individual or company to develop your site. There are freelancers or offshore companies who offer a very low hourly or project rate but can take a long time to complete the project, despite promises. There are full service agencies in the United States who offer a full array of services at rates ranging from $50 to $225/hour. It is worth your time to carefully select your developer and the hourly rate should certainly not be the most important consideration in web design pricing.
All of the websites that we create are custom templates, designed and built just for you. Typically we will develop a site using the Joomla Content Management System (CMS), but also can develop sites using WordPress, Drupal, or HTML 5 (using Bootstrap) if you prefer. Customs code needed? Not a problem!
PER HOUR vs PROJECT BASED PRICING
How We Price Our Work
How does our web design pricing get established? When we receive a request for a new project, whether for a new website, adding in specific functionality, or redesigning a new template, we will always try to provide an estimate of time and cost. We will research the best tools and methods for fulfilling your requirements prior to providing the estimate so that we know exactly what is needed.
But there are times when project-based pricing just doesn’t make sense – for you or for us. Estimating a project does take time, and we work our time to estimate into the price. If there are just small changes that need to be made or if there is a steady flow of changes on a very regular basis then we will work with you on the best method to bill for our time. Typically small edits to content, or small site changes will be billed by the hour once they have been completed. Our standard hourly rate is $125/hr.
WHAT ABOUT GETTING FOUND?
Search Engine Optimization – Search Engine Marketing
Targeting a marketing channel, analyzing the results, and making mid-course adjustments is a never ending process. Search engines change their criteria, customers change their needs, and keyword search trends change at a fairly regular frequency. There is no such thing as getting to the top and staying there, particularly if you are in a space that has a large number of competitors.
Generally speaking our SEO packages will run anywhere from $500 to $1500 per month, just depending on what services you would like. For LOCAL PRESENCE pricing please SEE OUR LOCAL PRESENCE OPTIONS.

NO ONE LIKES SURPRISES
No surprises for you means no surprises for us
The key to a successful relationship is communication. The key to a successful web project is organization.
From the very first day of your project we will send you a complete outline with our step-by-step process (known as The Moore Tech Process) so you will understand what to expect from us, so you will understand what we will expect from you, and so you feel like you know exactly where we are during every phase of the process.
We have developed a process that is divided into simple phases that is easy to follow, easy to understand, and that helps you to prepare for each upcoming phase. Following closely along this process we are able to keep our projects running on time. Projects that run on time will almost always run on budget.
